Cementing ESG Basics - A recap
Establishing sustainable business practices - both within our own business and across the companies we back - is ingrained in AlbionVC’s practice.
We’re all on a long-term journey to do venture differently, to create a more collaborative, diverse and dynamic tech sector that works for all parts of the ecosystem. Events like the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank in early 2023 demonstrated that, during periods of uncertainty and rapid change, it is crucial to establish solid operational principles, surround ourselves with the best possible team and incorporate the interests of all stakeholders to deliver growth, minimise unintended consequences and drive positive impact. Since then we have been systematising our processes, governed by UN PRI principles.
Last year’s report served as a collection of shared learnings from our team and you, our companies, designed to highlight progress achieved to date, celebrate successes and flag areas for change. Based on the 2023 results of the portfolio-wide ESG survey, this year’s report highlights encouraging progress towards ESG goals.
